It's a great milestone we reached. We are happy to present the results of our retrospective clinical validation study, titled "Evaluation of an AI powered portable thermal imaging solution as a pre-screening tool for breast cancer".

Spanning from December 2022 to May 2023, our study engaged 478 participants at Erebouni Medical Center in Yerevan, Armenia. Patients underwent pre-screening with a smartphone-based thermal sensor before following the standard screening pathway. Subsequently, our AI algorithms were applied to collected data, with risk predictions compared to mammography, the gold standard screening tool.

The AI results are when combined with patient-reported or clinical symptoms, the pre-screening tool achieved a sensitivity of 89% and a specificity of 83% compared to mammography. When clinical or patient-reported symptoms were not taken into account, sensitivity was considerably lower (60%), while specificity was higher (88.2%).

Before starting clinical validation we conducted 34 months of thermal breast cancer research and data collection in the Breast Unit in the Erebouni Medical Center and in parallel machine learning development by LABZ.AI, starting January 2020, culminating in robust internal testing and validation at the end of 2022, paving the way for this six month clinical validation.
