Last week, we had the privilege of attending the KI Innovations InvestorDay 2025 at the vibrant KI Science Park in Solna (Stockholm, Sweden). Set against the backdrop of groundbreaking research and entrepreneurial ambition, the event was a showcase of very promising deep tech and life science startups in Sweden. InvestorDay isn’t just another pitch event, it’s a window into the future of health, technology, and science. Powered by the Karolinska Innovations DRIVE incubator program, the day brought together fifteen ambitious early-stage ventures where we were one of them, each daring to tackle some of the world’s most complex challenges across Pharma, MedTech, Biotech, Labtech, and Digital Health.
From groundbreaking diagnostic tools to AI-powered healthcare platforms, the breadth and depth of innovation on display were truly inspiring. This image captures just a glimpse of what the Karolinska Innovations DRIVE Program has empowered since 2019 —, with several startups raising over 500 million SEK in investments and making a real impact in healthcare.
Throughout the day, startups had the opportunity to present their visions to a highly engaged audience of investors, eager to discover the next major breakthrough. Thermaiscan proudly showcased our advancements in breast cancer innovation, presenting our AI-driven pre-screening solution that leverages thermal sensors built into commercially available smartphones. Designed for B2B healthcare providers, our tool streamlines triaging in breast cancer screening at the first point of care. By analyzing metabolic activity and chest physiology, it enables early identification and prioritization of patients requiring further examination.
The atmosphere was electric, with every pitch sparking insightful questions and valuable feedback from the audience. What made the day even more enriching was the community spirit. Beyond the pitches, the event offered a fantastic networking environment. Investors, industry experts, and fellow entrepreneurs mingled between sessions, exchanging insights and sparking conversations that extended far beyond the agenda. It was clear that Karolinska Institute isn’t just a location; it’s a catalyst for innovation.
A special mention goes to Ronja Koepke, our moderator for the day. As an angel investor and co-founder of Investpodden and inHouse-app, her experience and enthusiasm kept the momentum alive throughout the event. Her sharp questions and insights added depth to the discussions, making sure every startup got the spotlight they deserved.
